How has Exscribe’s EHR affected your practice?

Exscribe’s EMR has made paperwork so much more efficient – especially with proper coding. Our staff is considerably more productive; we can virtually access anything, any time.

I had heard nightmare stories from colleagues about other EMRs and how they weren’t seeing as many patients because of their EMRs. If anything, our workflow has significantly improved and we are seeing the same number of patients with Exscribe’s EHR.

We are very happy with Exscribe’s EHR. I couldn’t imagine it going as well as it has.

How did implementation go?

Implementation was incredibly smooth. I kept thinking we were missing something because I had talked to dozens of doctors about their EMRs and they had nightmare stories. However, on our first day live, we were operating at 100 percent. We jumped in and it worked perfectly.

Our trainer [Jessica] was phenomenal. I can’t imagine anyone better; she was great.

Were the physicians/staff resistant? What do you think their feedback would be?

When we were shopping around for EHRs, our staff had fear of the unknown. What was it going to entail? However, since implementing Exscribe’s EHR, everybody is pleasantly surprised with the results and ease of use.

Why in the selection process did you pick Exscribe? What singled out Exscribe over competitors?

We picked Exscribe because it’s orthopedic specific and for the fact that it has an incredible number of templates built in that we could expand upon even further.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate Exscribe’s EHR?
Nine – I would give it a 10, but I believe you can always make something better.
