Bethlehem, PA, March 21, 2019 – Exscribe CEO Ranjan Sachdev, MD, MBA, CHC is now certified in Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy, a continuing education program from the MIT Sloan School of Management. This certification signals a change in direction for Exscribe Orthopaedic Healthcare Solutions. Investment in AI is the next step toward EHRs becoming fully interoperable, solving administrative inefficiencies within orthopaedic practices.

The course focuses on how AI can solve business problems that were considered unsolvable just a few years ago. Dr. Sachdev participated in a rigorous curriculum on machine learning, natural processing, and robotics. Dr. Sachdev is now able to analyze and apply management and leadership insights relating to AI, leading Exscribe into the future of technological innovation.

AI is already reducing inefficiencies in other industries. Machine learning can automate mundane and repetitive tasks that humans find burdensome, from data entry to responding to email messages. In fact, Vanderbilt University Medical Center is currently working in conjunction with Nuance Healthcare to develop an EHR-integrated virtual assistant. They are developing a voice recognition assistant capable of pulling patient health information from the EHR and quickly summarizing it to a provider.
