EHR adoption and patient satisfaction on the rise [VIDEO]
Transcript
EHR adoption is on the rise, and in some states almost all primary care providers have brought an EHR system into their practice. For example, according to a new report from the Massachusetts eHealth Initiative, 96 percent of primary care providers in the state have adopted these systems.
EHRIntelligence reported on the study, which also found that patients have very positive feelings about EHRs. Fifty percent said they had communicated with providers using patient portals or other online messaging, and 78 percent said they think EHRs will have a positive impact on their care.
What's more, 82 percent of patients who use a personal health record believe that it has helped them learn more about their care.
